Lakshimi Raman / Harish Kumar

Because apparently my personality needed a README.

Who I Am (In Case You Were Wondering)

Harish. Software engineer. Professional overthinker with suspiciously good taste.
I somehow manage to juggle anime marathons, F1 weekends, triple-A games, and building systems that are actually meant to survive the next decade. Most people burn out after one obsession. I just rotate between them like it’s normal. Respect.

Interests (Ranked by How Politely They Destroy My Sleep)

Anime

One Piece and Bleach started the addiction, but the list got ambitious fast.
Jujutsu Kaisen, Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, Attack on Titan, Death Note… and a few more that I’ll pretend I don’t have time to list right now.
Let’s just say my watch history is longer than most people’s career plans, and I’m not even sorry.

TV Series

Because anime wasn’t enough screen time:
Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Peaky Blinders, Prison Break, and The Office (for when I need to laugh instead of questioning my life choices).

F1

Die-hard supporter of both Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.
Nothing says “balanced personality” quite like yelling at a television while two drivers fight over tenths of a second. I’m here for the racing, the rain, and the occasional strategic masterpiece.

Movies

Crime thrillers only.
Seven is still the undisputed champion — the kind of film that ends so perfectly you’re left quietly judging every other movie you watch afterward.

Music (Spotify Edition)

My playlists somehow make sense to me:
Arctic Monkeys, Cigarettes After Sex, Måneskin, One Direction (yes, still), and Linkin Park.
Heavy on jazz undertones when I want to feel cultured, heavy on screaming when I don’t. It’s a refined chaos.

Gaming

I don’t play games casually. I live them.
Ghost of Tsushima, Watch Dogs 2, God of War, The Last of Us, and Cyberpunk 2077 sit at the top of a very long list.
They’re basically expensive therapy with better graphics and storylines that hit harder than most real-life plots.

The Serious Part (Yes, It Exists)

On the technical front, I’m genuinely obsessed with distributed systems, databases, and architectures that don’t collapse the moment real traffic shows up — the kind of foundational work (GFS, Spanner, the classics) that still holds up decades later.

Right now I’m building my own distributed database from scratch.
The goal is stupidly high: scale that doesn’t flinch, reliability that laughs at failure, and availability that actually means something.
It’s ambitious, borderline delusional, and honestly one of the coolest things I’ve committed to. When I decide something should last, it usually does.

Articles & Ramblings

I don’t just build things — I also write about them.
Check out my articles and technical deep-dives (linked in my repos and pinned projects). Expect honest takes on distributed systems, database design, and why most “production-ready” setups are one bad day away from drama.
They’re the written version of the same overthinking you see in my code.

Feel free to browse. Star if you like what you see, fork if you’re feeling bold.
I’ll be over here quietly grinding on the next thing either way.

Final Note

Welcome to the profile.
The obsessions are real, and the work I perform without caring about the outer world is going to outlive most of us.
Try not to judge too harshly.
